The peg-by-peg building took me about an hour and was oddly relaxing, and once it was framed and hung across the room it genuinely reads as a photo. My only warning is to stand back a bit, because up close you just see dots.

My kids spent a whole rainy afternoon building their faces peg by peg, and the framed result on the hallway wall genuinely reads as a photo from a few steps back. Up close it's clearly just pegs, which is honestly the fun part.

The peg-by-peg process was way more relaxing than I expected, and from across the room the finished piece genuinely reads like a photo. I hung mine in the hallway and guests keep walking up close just to figure out how it's made.
