The vertical setup is what sold me — my daughter props her finished pieces up like little gallery art instead of them getting buried in a drawer. The extra frame around the edge gives her somewhere to park loose pegs, so fewer end up under the couch.

My kids have been fighting over this thing since it arrived, mostly because the outer frame gives them a whole extra spot to stick pegs instead of crowding the same board. Standing it up like a photo holder was a nice surprise too, so their finished designs can just sit on the shelf.
